Pumpkin Honey Bun Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ½ cup honey
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan
- In a large mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, sugar, eggs, and vegetable oil. Mix until well blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture. Stirring just until combined- don’t overmix.
- Pour half the bater into the prepared baking pan. Drizzle half of the honey over it. Then swirl with a knife to combine lightly.
- Pour the remaining batter on top and repeat the honey drizzle and swirl.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar is desired.
